Nesheela Nazir from QualitySolicitors Davison is based at their Cotteridge office but also covers their Colmore Row office.
Nesheela is a Director and Head of Matrimonial Department, working alongside a team of 5 members, all experts in their field. She qualified as a solicitor in 2001 having trained at a law firm in Birmingham City Centre. She gained the majority of her post-qualification experience at a reputable and highly regarded law firm in Worcester having then moved to being the sole fee earner at a Worcestershire practice where she was responsible for growing the department, who subsequently merged with another well-regarded regional practice in the area. She joined QualitySolicitors Davisons in November 2016 as Senior Associate and Head of Matrimonial Department and was promoted to Director in November 2018 in recognition of her “real business acumen, proven” in her “management” of the Department.
The Matrimonial Department offers advice across its seven offices to suit the needs of its clients, who often lead very busy lifestyles and therefore may need to be seen at certain times or at a specific location. Nesheela is dedicated to providing personalised, clear, concise and practical advice to ensure that a fair and cost-effective outcome is achieved for her clients. She is mindful of the sensitive nature of her work and combines her experience and approachable persona to ensure that her clients achieve a non-confrontational, amicable and fair resolution to their matter.
Nesheela deals with all family matters, such as divorce, separation, pre-nuptial agreements, living together agreements, cohabitee disputes, financial settlements, domestic violence injunctions and private law children disputes (for parents and family).
Nehseela has acted for national and international clients, along with niche professional groups such as doctors, army officers and policemen/women. She has dealt with complicated financial cases where the parties’ matrimonial assets have consisted of complex pension funds, property and investment portfolios and businesses. She has built trusted and established professional relationships with a number of professionals such as mediators, Independent Financial Advisors, Solicitors and Pension experts who she works with and calls upon for their expertise in matters where such input is needed so that her clients get consistency and continuity.
She always aims to assist her clients in reaching a negotiated settlement through skilled negotiations and suggests mediation where appropriate to try and minimise costs. However in some cases it is inevitable that proceedings may have to be issued and a court timetable needed and that will only be suggested as a last resort.
Nesheela’s aim is to ensure that she services existing clients, builds the department and the longstanding and highly regarded reputation of the firm by offering quality legal advice tailored to meet each individual’s needs and managing their expectations from both an emotional and financial perspective. She is sensitive to each individual client's needs and fully appreciates the emotionally and financially challenging experience that they are going through.
Nesheela is a member of Resolution, whose underlying ethos is to assist parties in reaching an amicable and non-confrontational resolution to their case. She was nominated for The British Muslim Awards 2019 “Rising Star Category” and “Law” category. Her office at Cotteridge which she manages with her colleague, Jane Mulholland was awarded “Best Office 2018” for their continued and dedicated support/active involvement in local charities and raising money for worthy causes. Nesheela is extremely proud of this recognition and her and the team look forward to continuing to serve local communities and charitable causes.
Outside of the office, when she gets a spare moment she likes to spend time with family and friends, travel, eat out, go to the cinema and likes to keep fit by attending the gym.
